Guidelines for the Annual Conference Summary Paper Preparation

Notes commonly applicable to the oral presentation, the poster presentation, summary papers:

(1) The submitted draft will be printed out as it is. (Paper size A4) The following conditions are set assuming the use of MS-Word 2000. When other software is used, please prepare the paper so that the following conditions are satisfied. The draft may be returned for re-writing if the character size is too small and the line spacing is too narrow.

(2) Please print clear and sharp if submitting a hard copy.   

  1. Paper for draft: White, size A4 (210 mm X 298 mm)
  2. Printing format: 47 lines, black characters of 10.5 points
  3. Printing area: Upper margin 30 mm, left, right and bottom margins 20 mm.
    Put a bold line 30 mm from the page top on both first and second pages.(Thickness:2.25pt)
  4. Figures and photograph: Please put images inside the designated printing area.
  5. Language: English or Japanese
    If using Japanese, use the contemporary usage of kanji and oral expression with hiragana and please put the title and the name in English at the bottom of the first page.
  6. Spacing: Single space

A draft with high contrast can yield a good appearance.

  1. In principle, the summary paper should be submitted in the form of a PDF file to the following mail address:
    committee(at)ieij.or.jp (change "(at)" into "@")
    Please put “2014 Annual Conference Draft XXXX” in the subject line of your e-mail with the full name of the main author of the paper in the place denoted by XXXX.
  2. Please mail the hard copy to the following address when a file was prepared with a font which is not normally available on personal computers using the Windows operating system. (This should be limited to the case that can not be processed by the staff of IEIJ.)
