Guideline for Presentation Paper Preparation
Applying via the Web for Presentations at the Annual Conference of IEIJ
In this year the application for a presentation and submission of paper in PDF must be completed at the same time on the website of IEIJ. The fee for participation should be paid by credit card only.
The entry of joint authors for participation as audience members and the entry for the reception are scheduled in July.
Qualifications for Application
Applications are open for any individual members of following institutes, the Japan Institute of Electrical Engineers, the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers of Japan, the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers of Japan, and the Information Processing Society of Japan. Nonmembers as joint speaker are acceptable.
Members of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Northern America, the Illumination Engineering Institute of China, the Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers, the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand, and members of the IEEE are regarded as members of IEIJ.
Language for Presentation
The language for the presentation and for the manuscript should be either in Japanese or English.
Style of necessarily (Necessary Style) and Time Limits
1) Oral presentation;: 15 minutes for a lecture, and 5 minutes for a question-and-answer session .
2) Poster presentation: September 6 to 8AM
Short oral presentation: 5 minutes
Discussion time: September 6 standing by own poster.
Those who are less than 25 at the registration (for students, less than 30) are requested to participate in the poster presentations. The Excellent Poster Presenter Award winner will be chosen among the poster presentations and honored at the end of the Conf.
Contents of the Presentations
The contents should be unpublished recent studies or results that are related to the following fields. Applications will be rejected if the content is judged to be inappropriate.
- Light sources, circuits, and discharge phenomena [I] related to incandescent and fluorescent lamps
- Light sources, circuits, and discharge phenomena [II] related to HID lamps, LEDs, and others
- Illuminating appliances
- Illuminating theory
- Lighting planning (Interior lighting, outdoor lighting, daylight utilization, visual environment planning, and scenery lighting)
- Practice of lighting (Examples of implementation, facilities, and power distribution systems)
- Lighting design
- Visual perception psychology, visual perception physiology
- LED lighting
- Light-related materials, devices, and displays
- Photometry, colorimetry, and radiation measurement
- Application of light radiation
- New fields related to the application of light
Application Restrictions
- A single presenter can give only one presentation except as joint presenter. It is not permitted if the content of the joint presentation is too similar to the individual's own presentation.
- The copyright of the papers to be published in the proceedings belongs to IEIJ. Please contact the head office of IEIJ for details.
- It is requested that the person who makes the short poster presentation should be at the discussion time by own poster. (When other persons share these two periods, that presentation will not be qualified for the Excellent Poster Presenter Award.)
How to Apply for a Presentation
- Please register via the website. http://www.ieij.or.jp/
- The fee will be charged to the credit card only.
- After your resistration is completed, An e-mail entitled “Resistration Completion”will be sent to you. Please check the information certainly. In case of no response, please inquire to the office. It’s sometimes difficult to connect because of heavy traffic on line specially for last few days of closing date. We recommend your early entry.
The disclosure of papers are scheduled on August 23, 2013. Please make sure of the right handling of your patent.
